rarely do i have that moment
that piece of time
that time of peace
quiet
no neighbors
above
across the courtyard way
quiet
i stare at my faith board on the wall
prayerfully contemplating
each piece of paper
each handwritten scripture
an art piece in itself
quiet
i read God's promises
trusting by faith
that His plans for me
are for good
giving me a future and a hope
believing Him when He tells me
He is blessing these latter days more than my beginnings
quiet
i read notes from friends
ten years worth of notes
encouragement
inspiration
love
quiet
i look at the written words from my books
i see the visual artistry that God gifted me to create
with only the stroke of my finger on top a digital canvas
thankful
humble
quiet
this is a rare time of peace
that gives me a piece of time
shh
the quiet
i'll take it
